Nancy Amandi is a data engineer at a Nigerian e-commerce company. She began her career as a data analyst and quickly made a name for herself in the Nigerian data industry through her insightful articles and impressive performances in hackathons, where she often emerged as a winner. Her passion for community involvement led her to actively participate in various data communities, including the Data Engineering Community, Young Data Professionals, and Women in Data Africa. In these groups, she not only assisted fellow professionals with technical challenges but also helped stimulate some important discussions by asking insightful questions. Her significant contributions were recognized when she received the Fast Rising Star award from the Young Data Professionals Community. Recently, her team, Data Baddies, earned an Honourable mention in the just concluded Airbyte and Motherduck Hackathon. Outside of work, Nancy enjoys watching horror and thriller K-dramas, Sci-Fi movies or reading data-related books.
