Unstructured, Founder/CEO
Brian is the Founder and CEO of Unstructured, where his team is building the first ingestion and preprocessing platform for Large Language Models (LLMs). Unstructured has quickly emerged as a critical capability in the LLM ecosystem, with several million downloads in its first several months. Previously, Brian helped build another machine learning company, Primer, serving as President of its federal business. During his four years at Primer, he grew its business, formulated strategies across product development and engineering, and led multi-year, classified AI/ML development projects. Brian's experience also extends to the investment banking sector, having worked at Harris Williams & Co., where he executed mergers and acquisitions transactions across a range of industry verticals. While in government, Brian served as the Iraq Country Director on the National Security Council, advising President Obama and Vice President Biden on foreign policy matters concerning Iraq, ISIS, and the Middle East. Brian also served as an Intelligence Analyst and Briefer at the Central Intelligence Agency, where he completed multiple war zone tours. Brian has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA/MA in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.
